Savour the joys of nature

Primeval landscape in the Rheinaue wetlands

Arguably the best way to describe the Südpfalz is “between Rhineand vine”. Our landscape to the east is dominated by the Rhine and the primeval Rheinaue wetlands, the open meadows of the Bienwald Forest to the south are perfect for long rambles, while the vineyards and Palatinate Forest border the Südpfalz to the west. Around two thirds of the surface area in the district of Germersheim is under nature conservation. This unspoilt landscape is much prized by nature-loving tourists and is perfect for unwinding and for reviving tired spirits. Whether on foot or by bicycle, alone or as part of a group, why not come and discover the unique biodiversity that this region has to offer?
