Water and wonderful walks

The Wörth Water Park

Welcome to the town of Wörth and to Schaidt, Büchelberg and Maximiliansau.

And also home to a unique mixture of tradition and modernity, nature and technology. Once a fishing village, Wörth – which inspired many a German Impressionist at the turn of the century – is now a hub of urban activity in rural surroundings with something for everyone.

Walking in Büchelberg, there is plenty to discover about the world of honeybees and orchards. Or visitors can combine history and nature by taking the Siegfried Line walking route in Schaidt.

A day out in the Wörth Water Park is a treat for young and old. With ten swimming pools, a wave pool, a double slide measuring over 60 metres in length and much more besides, this leisure paradise is both refreshing and relaxing.

Prominent Impressionist Heinrich von Zügel (1850 - 1941) spent decades channelling his artistic visions in Wörth. The Heinrich von Zügel Gallery in the old City Hall boasts an extensive collection of paintings that recreates the heyday of the Wörth school of painting, once the centre of German Impressionism.
